Fall is More Fun with DeNova Homes

Fall is a notoriously busy time of year, and with good reason. In the unseasonable warmth of California’s early autumn, many of us find ourselves squeezing in a few more moments of summer even as the days get shorter and fuller than ever. Meanwhile, your favorite seasonal pastimes and indulgences are as fleeting as they are romantic. This year, you don’t have to miss the best of the season’s autumnal activities. DeNova’s homes are built in culturally rich communities that offer a vibrant array of social and cultural activities throughout the year. Come see for yourself! Here are a few events happening near DeNova communities that you’ll not want to miss.

Lathrop

Families in DeNova’s Lathrop communities won’t want to miss the annual Dia de los Muertos celebration in nearby Lodi, a neighboring city 15 miles north of Stockton. This bilingual event invites families from all backgrounds to explore the cultural and artistic significance of one of Mexico’s most famed celebrations through food, dance, art, music, and a screening of the film “The Book of Life” in both English and Spanish. Don’t miss this rare opportunity for cultural immersion! Saturday, October 29 from 3:00-9:00 pm in Lodi’s Hutchins Street Square.

Pleasanton

This fall, downtown Pleasanton takes trick-or-treating to the next level, as local businesses build partnerships to offer an annual Halloween Scavenger Hunt for kids. Explore downtown Pleasanton as you children find their Halloween candy clue by clue. Saturday, October 29, from 10:00-12:00 am in downtown Pleasanton.

After the kids have gotten their trick-or-treat fix, it’s time for you to get yours! Grown up trick-or-treaters are invited to downtown Pleasant’s Halloween Beer Crawl, featuring microbrew tastings and small bites from the best of downtown Pleasanton’s microbrewery and culinary scene. Buy your presale tickets while they’re hot and don’t forget your costume! Saturday, October 20, from 5:00-8:00. Check in at the Veteran’s Memorial Building.

Fairfield

Pleasanton isn’t the only place where Halloween meets microbrews. And in nearby Fairfield, you don’t have to wait for the big weekend to enjoy a terrifying abundance of craft beer and cider. The annual Booz and Brewz Beer Festival is held on October 8. Dress up and taste your way through an unlimited variety of local and regional brews!
